GL Accountant

Handle period-end closing activities including GL Journal entries.
Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing of accounts.
Prepare monthly reporting package for group consolidation purpose.
Tax reporting and compliance (e.g. GST/WHT/Corporate Tax).
Support internal audit, statutory audit and related matters.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial & management reports and the related analysis and commentaries.
Prepare and perform review on Balance Sheet and P&L monthly schedules and bank reconciliations.
Support the preparation of the yearly budget. Perform financial analysis of actual results against budget/forecast.
Responsible and maintain Fixed Asset Register and Inventory Register.
Establish and enforce policies and procedures; provide trends and forecasts; explain processes and techniques; recommend actions.
Improve on current processes, procedure and internal controls as required.
Adhoc assignments and projects as and when required.

Requirements:

Min. Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalents. ACCA or CPA preferred.
At least 3-5 years of accounting and audit experience.
Computer literate (MS Office, MS Outlook, Microsoft Dynamic NAV, Lucanet).
Prior experience as General Ledger Accountant with multinational corporations.
Experience in financial analysis for business segments will be an added advantage.
