Our client, a specialist insurer is looking to recruit new Claims Assessors in to their busy claims centre in York. The company are seeing massive business growth so this an exciting time to join. The purpose of the role is to engage with customers who have filed a claim and assess claims promptly and fairly in line with company SLA's. You will be given superb training and then empowered to make decisions in the best interest of the customers you are engaging with.
*Answer Claims Department telephone calls in line with the departmental SLA.
*Liaise with policyholders, third parties and loss adjusters verbally and in writing in order to assess a claim.
*Calculate settlement of claims.
*Meet daily file and phone targets.
*Accurately creating new and subsequent claim records and updating these records as each claim progresses.
*Identifying valid and invalid claims by analysing the terms and conditions of the policy contract and the claim information.
*Identifying risks and reporting them in line with internal procedure.
*Undertake development under the guidance of the Claims Manager, Team Leaders and Trainers.
