Job Title - Accounts Assistant

Full time permanent

Hours Mon - Friday hours per week.

Salary - £16 - £18 k dependent on experience


Job Description

Processing incoming payments against Advisor orders (Marking up all the payments that come in against the orders, marking up invoices, letting staff know invoice has been paid etc)

Post incoming receipts Credit Cards/Cheques/BACS to SAGE (Credit card folder, BACS, payments taken, cheques that come in the post etc)

Liaising with Advisors, dealing with queries by telephone and email (Order queries, payment queries etc)

Processing Direct Debits

Raising invoices and producing receipts (Training invoices, order invoices, DD invoices - receipts for same)

Raising Cheque payments - Purchase Ledger, not credit control and Petty Cash (although cheques getting few and far between now we dont do the OPG ones)


Posting Company Credit Cards

Timesheets - collating Staff overtime sheets

Ad Hoc

Bank Reconciliations

Electronic Scanning and Filing

The ideal candidate will have a proven history of working in an Accounts department and the ability to work quickly and efficiently and without supervision after training. Possess good customer service skills and be computer literate with proven skills in the use of Sage, Outlook, Word and a basic working knowledge of Excel.
