The R&D Tax Incentive is the Australian Government's largest innovation program and encourages companies to engage in R&D benefiting Australia by providing a tax offset for eligible R&D activities. The program is jointly managed by the Department of Industry Science Energy and Resources (DISER) and the Australian Taxation Office.

The Services which DISER is seeking to procure consist of the following
Our ideal candidates will have:
- analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to apply sound judgement;
- a demonstrated ability to analyse and understand information across a number of technical disciplines and apply this understanding to evidence based reporting;
- strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to confidently lead meetings and presentations when required;
- strong customer service focus; and
- familiarity with legislative frameworks and comfortable with scientific and technical concepts.
Successful candidates will: - perform a high level assessment of R&D Tax Incentive registrations with particular focus on the activities conducted;
- analyse information including R&D activities, business documentation including proposals, business plans, R&D plans, industry and technical data;
- provide education and guidance to customers on how to self-assess program eligibility and the application process; and
- manage competing priorities in a fast paced work environment.
The specified personnel is required on a full time basis with a maximum of 37.5 hours per week unless given prior approval by the business area.
