Howarth Morris are excited to be recruiting for a £multmillion turnover manufacturing company near Wigan. Our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the team at their HQ.The business has gone from strength to strength in recent years through strategic acquisitions and investment in their factory unit and staff. This role will be reporting to the Financial Controller and represents an exciting platform for someone who is bright, ambitious and highly motivated to play an integral role in the business. Responsibilities will include:

  • Credit control, chasing up outstanding payments
  • Chasing remittances
  • Cash allocation
  • Purchase ledger, matching, batching and coding
  • Payment runs
  • Purchase invoice filing
  • Liaising and building relationships with customers
  • Dealing with AP/AR queries

The successful candidate must have a experience of working in Credit Control and retrieving debt as well as dealing with Purchase Ledger and posting payments. The candidate must also possess the ability to work efficiently as part of a team, have confidence allocating cash, have excellent attention to detail and have good Excel skills.
