As a Profit Protection Manager – North Region you will co-ordinator all profit protection activities across all Northern Regions stores, Burnley DC and Northern hub. You will support the business in strategic goals through the protection of revenue, safeguarding employees, customers and company assets. This role will be remote working for the needs of a business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the staff search policy for Stores DC / Hubs are continually reviewed.
  • Ensure that all cash handling procedures within stores are robust and minimise risk and exposure to theft and fraud.
  • Taking a risk based approach, prioritising based on Store (new) risk model, high shrink stores (Focus Stores) and through utilising the Data Analytics.
  • Facilitate the need for store guards, ensuring that there is a sound business case for their use and that the SOPs are fit for purpose and within cost.
  • Maintain a suite of monthly reports and analysis to present to field and line management on a monthly basis – to include a Dashboard approach.
  • Working with the Data Analyst Manager, develop and maintain a suite of exception reports that can be used by Store and Field Retail Managers.
  • Maintain and continually review incident reporting mechanisms and develop a suite of reports appropriate to business need.
  • Attend operational meetings, ensuring all Team members are focused and updated on business matters. Encourage innovative thinking and create a culture of catching staff doing things right
  • The ideal candidate will have the following skillset:

    • Experience and understanding of Profit Protection techniques
    • Knowledge of employment law
    • Excellent computer/IT Skills
    • Knowledge of the Supply Chains
    • Excellent working knowledge of CCTV cameras, including covert equipment
    • Extensive (demonstrable) experience in criminal law and investigative techniques
    • Good presentation skills
    • Great communication skills both verbal and written
    • The ability to influence up as well as down.
