Our client based on the outskirts of Lichfield are recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join them initially on a 6 month contract.

This role requires a candidate to have the following skills


  • Studying toward CIMA or equivalent.

  • 1+ years relevant hands on financial experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - intermediate excel and powerpoint skills.

  • Able to travel as appropriate and work in an international environment.

  • US GAAP and European Accounting standards.

Duties will include :

Supporting the logistics finance/operational teams on a daily basis to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

  • Act as a finance partner to regional and site distribution leaders, providing financial support and expertise to help deliver 'best cost’ performance, with high levels of service and quality.

  • Interpret results for owned facilities and 3PL locations, identifying risks and opportunities, and communicate accordingly to the logistics finance team and operational leadership.

  • Support the productivity culture and reporting cycle across all sites and assist in the identification, appraisal, and monitoring of productivity initiatives, both at an EMEA and GBU level. Support delivery of > 5% productivity per annum.

  • Contribute to the estimate cycle and annual budget process.

  • Control CAPEX approval and activation, coordinating multi-site financials in collaboration with site leaders, calculating and communicating volume impacts due to business sales fluctuations, and calculate timely and accurate guidance.

  • Be responsible for the month end process for DC’s within EMEA (accruals, prepayments and adjustments etc.)

  • Collaborate with EFSSC to identify posting errors and develop calculation methods in order to streamline the cycle and improve accuracy.

  • Work closely with the BI team to develop and streamline reporting, driving automation, accuracy and transparency of results.

  • Liaise with EFSSCE, SOX and internal audit teams to improve coding, maintain up to date internal controls, safeguard company assets and ensure compliancy with US GAAP and statutory regulation.

  • Identify and handover tasks that can be completed by EFSSC

  • Participate in site and EMEA logistics leadership team reviews, providing insight and contributing to identification of actions

  • Accurately code and authorize logistics expenditure

  • Support the Integration of other site/companies as required

  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and project support as may be required
