Senior Financial Controller - Surrey

Robert Half is working exclusively on a retained basis to recruit a Senior Financial Controller to join a fast growing and leading division of a truly global business services company based in Chertsey.

This opportunity is reporting directly into the UK Finance Director and will tasked with commercially and financially leading a £1Billion turn over division.

Exposure to technical accounting, financial control, FP&A, strategy and commercial support is all on offer in this level senior leadership role.

The Role

The successful Senior Financial Controller will be heavily involved in supporting the ongoing growth of this ambitious business. The key to this role is being able to demonstrate that you can manage and influence a high number of key stake holders. Staff management is also key as this is leading a strong finance team of 34 people set across 4 divisions.

Key responsibilities will include:


? Responsibility for managing the head office finance functions of management accounts, sales ledger, credit control and purchase ledger;

? Managing the Company balance sheet, ensuring the accurate recording of all assets and liabilities with the timely reconciliation of all accounts in established formats.

? Take ownership for leading improvements and efficiencies across the UK finance system,

? Manage all cash flow management, budgets, forecasts and planning.

? Setting the annual budgeted balance sheet to meet agreed targets for cash conversion.

? Reviewing the monthly overhead accounts, ensuring accurate reporting of known costs.

? Facilitating the smooth running of internal and external audits;

? Supporting the preparing of the company's annual Statutory Accounts, including finalisation with external auditors;

? Lead and manage a talented finance team of 34 people.

Your Profile

The successful Senior Financial Controller is likely to be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) and will have an exemplary academic background. Previous experience of working for a global business in a financial controller vacancy is essential.

This is very much an autonomous Senior Financial Controller position that will require exceptional commercial acumen coupled with a strong technical prowess.

Strong systems skills and relevant experience of leading a large finance team is essential.

Excellent leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills, change management and communication skills are essential.

This business is a global business services business based in central Chertsey - this is a retained assignment with Robert Half.

Salary & Benefits

£75,000 - £90,000 + 25% Bonus, Pension and Car Allowance.
