Client Details

Part of a large global organisation the UK business is growing organically and through acquisition and as such are looking for a qualified Accountant to assist in ensuring a smooth transition post acquisition.

The group has global revenues of US$ 18 Billion with operations in North America, Europe and Australasia. The UK Group has annualised sales of c.£700m.

Description

Responsibilities will include;

• Management of existing finance function and staff
• Preparation of acquired entity monthly management accounts, for review and inclusion in group reporting
• Payroll operation and authorisation
• Purchase ledger and supplier payments
• Preparation of sales ledger and purchase ledger data for migration, including
  • Elimination of historic balances
  • Reconciliation of key suppliers
  • Alignment of data formats for migration
• Migration of inherited agreements to Group approved suppliers
• Credit control
• Cash and Bank management, control and reconciliation
• Reconciliation of all key control accounts
• Statutory returns (inc VAT)

Profile

• Formal accountancy training and qualification preferred
• Excel proficiency to a high standard
• Ability to compile, analyse and review data to a high level of accuracy
• Experience of preparing accounts from multiple accounting systems and incomplete records will be of an advantage
• High level of organisation, able to manage own workload to meet tight deadlines
• Enthusiastic individual that is keen to learn, get involved and develop
• Team player, who is keen to build relationships with colleagues both above and below them in the finance and operational teams
