Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance to management and the risk and audit committees as to whether the framework of risk management, control, and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Assistant IT Audit Manager, IT Infrastructure Continuous Audit.

The role holder will support the delivery of audits, including using automated, analytical tools to review IT General controls and improve the overall effectiveness of the execution of audit activities.

Your responsibilities in this role will include:
  • Support with the completion of the allocated audit fieldwork by using the designated or required GBL INA documentation and templates
  • Ensure that audit assignments are completed in a timely and efficient manner with due respect to the standards established by GBL INA, industry best practices and the relevant risk and regulatory environment;
  • Provide specialist, professional advice on audit findings and recommendations, thus ensuring that they are both fully understood and properly implemented by management;
  • Support with managing audits by working with the team to identify key stakeholders, organising fieldwork, identifying weaknesses, escalating issues and assisting in their resolution
  • Contribute to the wider development of Global Internal Audit, through collaborating with other audit teams, learning and utilising data analytics, agile techniques and other innovations to more efficiently and effectively deliver its objectives.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • Sound technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas; Access Management, IT Service Management, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics and use of tools such as QlikSense is desirable
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
  • Solid understanding of risks and controls, and role of first, second and third line of defense
  • A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change
  • Past experience working in an Audit or Risk based role, e.g. Internal / External Auditor, Risk Steward, Control Officer
  • Ideally hold role relevant qualifications, e.g. Certified Information Systems Auditor, but assistance would be given to obtaining the qualification.

The base location for this role is Sheffield.
