Management Accountant - First time mover

A FTSE 100 Industrial property company based in Berkshire are seeking a Qualified Accountant to join their growing business.

Description

This is a newly created role for a Qualified Accountant coming straight from practice and looking for their first role in Industry & Commerce. You will have the opportunity to work with a highly capable team, utilising your experience in Financial Accounting from the Practice background, with the opportunity to develop into a commercial Management Accountant.

You will be responsible for the production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts with variance analysis to budget, commentary and re forecasting, maintaining reliable and accurate data in the General Ledger and posting of journals including accruals and prepayments

You will also assist with the annual budgeting process and maintain the fixed asset register alongside the production of statutory accounts for subsidiaries of the group

Other areas of the role include but aren't limited to:

• Liaise with external auditors
• To have an oversight of Service Charge and cover colleagues for absence / peaks in workload
• Asses the suitability of new customers (P&L) by performing credit checks for covenant strength
• Build relationships with the wider Finance team and the Business Unit

Profile

You will be a degree educated suitably qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA). Your practice background will have provided you with the necessary experience to add value from day one in the Financial Accounting element of the role, and your eagerness to learn and grow will greatly assist you in moving forwards and developing into a Commercial Management Accountant.

Communication skills are key for success in the role as well as the ability to work independently or part of a team.

Property experience is advantageous.
