Senior Accountant

An opportunity within a growing and reputable accountancy practice has arisen for a Senior Accountant, to join this Bristol based firm. The role will be an ideal for a qualified, or part /finalist ACA, ACCA, or an AAT qualified, or suitably experienced only accountancy practice background professional seeking the right career move in the sector, within a successful growing firm of accountants.

This accounting firm, based in Bristol has developed a strong reputation across the South West servicing a wide spectrum of clients, with a focus dealing with OMB, SME limited companies, wide ranging in sector and turnover, up to and over the audit threshold in turnover, across varied industry sectors, charities and professional services. The firm has a flat structure, allowing staff the opportunity to develop increasing responsibility, both in terms of client contact and relationship management, along with the variety and scope of technical accounting work you will get experience of, within this firm.

Description

Joining as a Senior Accountant you will have a varied role preparing accounts, corporate tax computations, management accounts, VAT and providing other, varied general practice services to a mixed client base of primarily limited companies, OMBs and SMEs, partnership and sole trader clients. Alongside this, there will be potential for involvement in audit, with some of the firms larger clients, as a much smaller element of your responsibilities, with clients based locally to Bristol. You will have opportunity to progress and develop within the firm and role, with increasing involvement and exposure to added value, project work, assisting partners on the research and delivery of wide ranging accounting and tax work, with client contact and chance to develop your technical career and skills.

Profile

You will be any of part/finalist/qualified ACA, ACCA qualified, or ATT qualified or suitably experienced only to date, with at least 4 - 6 years or more, experience within the accountancy practice sector at Senior Accountant level, preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies and looking for a challenging career move in the profession, where you can increase your client contact, responsibility and progress in your career. Any audit experience would be helpful but a willingness for involvement and learning the skills on this, much smaller element of the role, can work equally as well.

Job Offer
