Senior Accountant / Manager

A growth focused firm of accountants, based in Bristol City Centre is looking to bolster their team with a key, hands on and right hand support to the firms Director as a Senior Accountant / Manager to take on the delivery of wide ranging accountancy practice services to the firms varied clients, along with managing and developing trainees and carving a career as the firm grows, with clear business plans in place and vision to achieve the firms goals.

Based in Bristol City Centre this small, successful and growing firm of accountants has achieved impressive growth since start up, headed by an entrepreneurial and passionate Director with clear business plans and vision for the firms future development and growth in place, investing in marketing, IT and looking to build on the firms ongoing organic growth. The firms acting for growing micro businesses partnering with them, working with clients typically into the £hundreds of thousands in turnover, with a significant proportion of clients into the £millions, with largest clients up to around the £5million mark. The firms clients are varied across wide ranging sectors to include a wide spectrum across retail, manufacturing, professional services, hospitality and entertainment, art galleries, service businesses, freelance consultants and farming as some examples. The firms has embraced cloud accounting as Xero, Sage, Freeagent partners. The environment offers a growing, small team set up at a key stage in the firms development and chance to carve a career and become a pivotal part of the firms future growth.

Description

Joining as Senior Accountant / Manager based in the firms Bristol City Centre offices, you will carve a key position here as the firms Directors right hand support delivering hands on, all around accountancy practice services, across year end accounts preparation, tax and wider services to the firms clients, taking on increasing responsibility and client management as you develop within the firm. Alongside the hands on role working with your clients, you will also look to manage and develop more junior members in the team, reviewing the work of trainees preparing sole trader accounts and personal tax returns for example. You will work closely with the Director developing your career as the firm grows.

Profile

You will be ideally ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 3 - 4 years, or ideally more experience of working within accountancy practice, or if coming with an experienced only background you will have at least 5 - 6 yrs or more experience of working within firms of accountants to date. You will bring considerable experience of year end accounts/tax preparation and review for sole traders, partnerships and in particular, limited companies. You will have developed your career to Senior Accountant / Manager levels and be seeking a career move within a small firm environment where you can really carve a career, as a key addition in this firms development and growth.

Job Offer

£30,000 - £42,000 dependent on the experience and background of the right professional.
