About the job

The dynamic investment services and funds regulatory landscape has changed significantly over the past few years, particularly due to the introduction of European Union legislation such as the UCITS Directive, Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and MiFID II. The industry is an important, attractive and exciting one for the local economy.

We are looking to strengthen our team with experienced specialists and are looking for people who are interested and keen to build and develop their career within the investment services and funds regulatory environment. The recruited specialists will be at the core the firm’s service offering to our clients in this area, including, assisting in due diligence work as part of transactions, obtaining/extending of licences, providing advice, and carrying out assurance work. The position also provides the opportunity of working closely with other network firms in foreign jurisdictions, providing a clear opportunity for career growth.

Experience & Qualifications Requirements

• Candidates must hold a University degree in law, finance, or similar;
• The role requires previous compliance experience in the investment services and funds space, with at least 4 years of experience in the field of investment services and funds either as an external consultant and/or within an entity’s compliance function
• The right candidate will be confident to interact directly with international clients and must possess technical knowledge on local and EU investment services and funds regulations;
• Fluency in English is a requirement; and,
• Candidates must possess good people and management skills and be strong team players.

This role is also open for persons who may want to seek employment with reduced hours.
