Financial Accountant

Position Description:If you are a forward thinking part-qualified accountant who is able to work under pressure and looking for an exciting opportunity to be instrumental in driving our implementation of the largest accounting changes affecting insurance companies in living memory then this is for you.As an industry and in the finance sector we are in the midst of an exciting period as a result of the joint venture with LV and significant changes to relevant International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)We are a dynamic team of accountants responsible for external reporting for the Allianz UK companies as well as interpreting and implementing new accounting standards across the Group. As a team we are responsible for statutory reporting including being the first point of contact for our auditor and Regulatory reporting including Solvency II.As our Financial Accountant, you will be required to:Produce "pro-forma" accounts (for solo entities in the Allianz Holdings group).Work with the auditors who will review the draft accounts working towards audit sign-off of these.Assist with monthly P&L close and subsequent reporting to the Group in Munich.Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual regulatory reporting (Solvency II).Various other ad hoc reporting requirements.Position Requirements:To be a success in this role, you will be a part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or AAT qualified as well as:• Some technical accounting knowledge and a growth mindset, • Good communicator who is happy to challenge the status quo,• Ability to work under pressure and a proven track record of meeting deadlines.Job ID: 8575 Job Category: Finance Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent Closing Date: May 25, 2021
