Become a member of the wider Finance team at Apple. With over 300 employees from a multitude of backgrounds, the Finance department in Cork supports all functions of Apple in EMEIA, including Sales Fulfilment, Logistics, Manufacturing and Operations, Apple Music, Apple Retail as well as being part of the Global Business Solutions (GBS) function. The successful candidate will lead the Record to Report team who oversees the compliance and governance for some of Apple’s key Irish entities. In order to carry out this role effectively the individual will partner closely and develop strong business relationships with several teams including EMEIA Tax, Corporate Law Group, Treasury Operations, Operations Finance, IS&S Finance and other Global Business Solutions teams.

This role is primarily responsible for managing the US GAAP and local GAAP accounting, as well as local statutory & tax compliance functions for multiple legal entities in Ireland. This position is tasked with maintaining excellent relationships with key business partners through regular, open communications. Ongoing governance of and oversight of Irish legal entities and support of a wide range of business partners across Finance and other business functions in EMEIA and beyond. Ensure monthly and quarterly close process is completed in line with Corporate SLAs. Ensure SLA’s and metrics are achieved - ensure GAAP, company finance policies, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, tax and legal requirements are aligned with to enable effective legal entity controllership compliance. Maintain data integrity of SAP to ensure US GAAP rules and local legal statutory and accounting reporting requirements are met. Reviewing current processes, seeking out opportunities for efficiencies and driving continuous improvement. Partner with key cross-functional business partners to anticipate changes in the business that impact R2R systems and processes and develop an action plan to address such changes. Manage, develop and coach a team of top performing individuals. Set each direct report up for success in their role by providing mentoring and support Assist in all Record to Record related projects on an ongoing basis and ensure that EMEIA requirements into all systems projects so as to build efficient end to end process and phenomenal customer experience.
