The Strategic & Financial analysis team advises Willis Re's clients on strategic, financial and capital management issues, assists account managers in identifying client needs, and is responsible for some of Willis Re's leading publications. We are recruiting an Executive Director to be an integral and senior member of our team. The Role Willis Re is one of the world's leading reinsurance advisors, and Willis Re International covers the European, Asian and Latin American geographies. The Strategic & Financial Analytics team works closely with account managers as well as Willis Re's full suite of analytical resources, and has a high-profile role in advising clients. Our remit is to strengthen Willis Re International's client offering. We take a holistic view of Willis Re clients so as to proactively identify strategic and financial strengths and challenges and determine the most appropriate capital management and risk transfer solutions. We are also responsible for a number of thought-leading publications. The team has gained considerable traction since its formation two years ago and is now looking to expand at the senior level. The Executive Director will report to the Managing Director in charge of the team. The role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is experienced in the financial and strategic aspects of the insurance sector, who is equipped for a high profile role, both within Willis Re and with clients, and who is keen to learn and work in a fast-paced environment. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Leading client projects, in conjunction with account managers
- Leading the production and dissemination of publications
- Contributing to the development and management of junior resources in the team
- Overseeing the development and maintenance of financial models, in-depth company and industry research, and the preparation of client presentations
- Participating in internal brainstorming and client preparation meetings;
- Managing several projects at once and working effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
- BA degree with outstanding academic qualifications (minimum 2:1, or equivalent)
- Experience working in the insurance industry, at a financial regulator or in a financial analysis role
- Strong quantitative / analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, manage priorities, and adhere to deadlines
- Distinguished written and oral communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities
- Fluency or professional proficiency in a Western European language preferred
