Your role will be part of the First Line Privacy team at State Street and liaise with functional areas including but not limited to; Information Security, Compliance, BRM, Corporate Privacy, and key stakeholders. You will assist the Privacy Officer and the business in effectively executing the Privacy Program. You will be part of a small team of three, but also involved in the administration and management of a further team of 5 Privacy Points of Contact.
Extensive time will be spent in training you up to be a Privacy professional.

What you will be responsible for
As Privacy Manager you will
- Develop general understanding of privacy and data protection laws, regulations and best practices, including GDPR
- Promote Privacy awareness.
- Update Procedures and training.
- Ensure effective Privacy Governance in the First Line.
- Assist the Privacy Officer in the execution and management of the Privacy Program and assist the Privacy Points of Contact with the carrying out of their roles
- Assist the business with Privacy related queries and projects
- Help the business to reduce Privacy Risk.
- Provide guidance to business partners to ensure alignment between business unit-level procedures and Privacy governance policies
- Maintain Privacy Gaps and queries log
- Ensure control environment is effective.
- Always looking for Privacy Gaps to remediate.
- Interest in developing a privacy knowledge.
- Run Privacy related projects globally
- Deputise for Privacy Officer on occassion
What we value

- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Powerpoint and Excel
- Fluent English
- Communication skills
- At least 2 years experience in Privacy, Risk, Compliance, Cyber security or something similar
