- Leadership and management of the Group's Financial Planning & Analysis function, leading a team of c8 people based mainly in the UK but also in the Shared Service Centre (Mumbai)
- Commercial, high profile role in an increasingly integral group function in the current environment and back drop of recent corporate restructure and depressed trading, with regular contact with senior management and finance teams across the Group, as well as external advisors and shareholder.
- The job holder will report to the Finance Director - Strategic Planning & Treasury, driving end to end planning and analytical outputs for the Group.
- Lead on all aspects of the group's quarterly trading forecast and budget process including thinking beyond the P&L and market drivers by increasing cash flow reporting and expertise in the Group FP&A team relieving pressure on the Cash Flow and Liquidity teams for external outputs and reporting
- Act as Finance partner to the Finance Director - Strategic Planning and Treasury and alongside the CEO and Executive team providing high-class support to the Board of Directors and Travelex's shareholders
- Oversight over month end and year end close processes alongside the Group Reporting function with responsibility for publishing group management accounts, reviewing papers for the Group Board and any other adhoc materials and analysis as required.
- Assist in driving the group FP&A systems agenda, including the group's planning and reporting tools, and ensure systems meet business requirements with a hands-on approach.
- The role requires a high level of commercial awareness with ability to influence stakeholders, together with managing financial disciplines and process.
Key accountabilities
- A key member of the Travelex Finance community, providing strategic insight, meaningful analysis and leadership across the function and globally.
- Leading and developing a highly skilled Finance team and optimising the use of skills and experience available on and offshore and ensuring succession planning and appropriate development opportunities are available for all members of the team.
- Key stakeholder management by working with each of Travelex's businesses globally to monitor and communicate periodic performance, market trends, opportunities and risks
- Drive the strategic and operational planning processes for the Group across market/product/channel/entity and aspects of P&L/balance sheet/cashflow
- Oversight over business as usual processes relating to month and year end close with production of management accounts and other externally required reporting requirements
- Hands on role in shaping the systems agenda for reporting and planning across the group with implementation of upgraded reporting tool and a likely migration of planning capability
- Provide investment decision guidance and oversight of the Group's Investment Committee, ensuring proposals are presented consistently, tracked appropriately, and benefit delivery validated.

Essential
- Strong leadership and influencing skills in relation to stakeholder management (internal and external) and across matrix reporting lines
- Commercial experience gained in blue chip companies as well as an excellent professional background
Desirable
- Relevant degree (2:1 or higher) from a good university
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
