An innovative and growing to start up business, the organisation is scaling at a fast rate and going through enormous change and Finance is central to this development. Part of this is with the implementation of a robust new control framework.
The Assistant Accountant will be helping the organisation during its growth phase, ensuring that ever-increasing volumes of invoices or Purchase Orders and Invoices are processed in an efficient manner and in line with our internal control framework. The finance department is ambitious and aspires to be best in practice in the way they operate, looking to implement procedures well in advance of them becoming financial reporting requirements
The Financial Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and work alongside the Financial Accounting and Reporting team in what is a great first role within a Finance department.

The Financial Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and work alongside the Financial Accounting and Reporting team in what is a great first role within a Finance department.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the purchase ledger in Netsuite including inputting all supplier transactions and staff expenses
- Ensuring all invoices and expenses are authorised in line with Company policy and accounted for in line with accounting standards and VAT rules
- Liaising with company suppliers, setting up new suppliers, and reconciling monthly supplier statements
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and goods in notes on the online purchasing system
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties, commensurate with the job title, as may be determined by their line manager
- Support with other ad-hoc projects
