Salary to £45,000 + benefits

Location: HULL

A great opportunity has arisen for a qualified/part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA experienced accountant for the Hull site of a large European company. Candidates need to have demonstrable all round accounting skills including the preparation of both management and financial accounts. Some remote working may be an option after an initial settling in period. This is a permanent position but a temporary appointment is also available.

THE ROLE: Reporting into the Financial Controller and with a small accounts team to supervise the role will include: Monthly preparation of management accounts & information observing strict reporting deadlines. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations Monthly P&L review and analysis Collate and analyse data used for accounting estimates & provisions Preparation of weekly cash-flow statements Perform month-end and year-end close Assist with preparation of year-end statutory accounts Liaise with external auditors and timely resolution of queries & requests Assist in the preparation of annual budgets Preparation of quarterly VAT returns Respond to ad-hoc financial queries by gathering & interpreting data Create and compile KPI reports, knowledge of Power BI an advantage

THE CANDIDATE: -You are a qualified or part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA experienced accountant with broad based skills, have good systems literacy particularly with Excel and preferably have experience of supervising a small accounts team -Proactive, organised and adept with time management, you are an effective communicator both written and verbally -Once an initial settling in period has been achieved there is an option for the successful candidate to work remotely 1-2 days per week - THE COMPANY: My client is based in Hull and in the ownership of a large European organisation.
