The department
The Finance team operates across all business lines to maximise stakeholder returns. With approximately 80 members globally, the team represents a wide range of expertise and experience, servicing not only the UK, but also Continental Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.
Overview of the role
This Singapore based role, reporting to Business Finance Manager, sits within the Business Finance team, which is primarily responsible for providing end to end financial support and business partnering to Business Units, working closely with Executive Committee (ExCo) members and Senior Management. The team's objective is to optimize use of the firm's resources. This includes global resource planning, implementing and adhering to financial controls and facilitating effective forward looking business decision making with commercial insight to identify opportunities to create value.
The Business Finance team works closely with the FP&A to collectively form the Global FP&A & Business Finance Team, which provides business partnering, Budgeting & Forecasting, Management Information and Executive level support across the firm and to various external stakeholders.
Duties and responsibilities
You will:
  • Provide excellent business finance support to business functions of Asia Pacific region
  • Prioritise activities to ensure business finance deliverables are met to a high standard
  • Communicate efficiently with stakeholders and business partners
  • Ensure budgets and forecasts agreed by the Executive Committee are managed appropriately, flagging risks where necessary
  • Enable functional heads to manage the resources of their global teams
  • Provide independent advice and support to the business as well as challenging where appropriate
  • Production and tracking of accurate and efficient budgets and forecasts
  • Ensure the FP&A team has appropriate commentary and support to report monthly results and changes in forecasts to the Executive Committee
  • Ensure business functions have sufficient finance representation and support for projects, initiatives and supplier or client commercial arrangements
  • Preparation of ad-hoc analysis as required by management
  • Trouble shoot issues and work to resolution
Support Asia Pac business functions with:
  • Regular reporting and analysis:
  • Expense and headcount reporting
  • Transaction analysis, investigation and flagging risks where necessary
  • Marketing expenses analysis and tracking
Budgeting and forecasting
  • End to end budgeting & forecasting process, including tracking of the budget.
  • Actively input into driving process efficiency
  • Complete ad hoc analysis as required to support business partners
Finance Platform
  • Assume additional duties to fulfil the role, including ad hoc projects as assigned
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • None
Technical skills and qualifications
  • Graduate or part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • FP&A or management reporting experience preferable
  • Good financial modelling skills
  • Competency with Microsoft Excel and proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to analyse data and provide relevant financial insight
  • Experience with SAP BPC, Anaplan or other financial reporting software a plus
