In this senior Financial Controller position you will analyse and understand business processes and performance to support financial, commercial and operational decision making. The successful candidate will maintain an environment of robust financial control whilst accurately reporting on past, present and future business performance.

An SME manufacturing business that is part of a much larger organisation that operates globally.

Description

  • Financial reporting, Management accounting, KPI reporting and customer reporting.
  • Control over month end close, reconciliations, processes, procedures and management accounts.
  • Margin analysis and supporting financial analysis & commentary.
  • Budgeting and forecasting.
  • Cash flow management, payment approval, credit control and cost control.
  • Provide commercial support with regards to pricing and tender submissions.
  • Management, appraisal and development of the finance team.
  • Co-ordinate with IT service providers to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Supervision of payroll function, coordination of pension schemes and HR systems.
  • VAT & PAYE returns.
  • Business process reviews, improvements and implementation.
  • Liaising with company auditors and head office finance team
  • Capex appraisal.
  • Oversight analysis/commentary on the financial performance of Indian subsidiary company.

Profile

  • Qualified accountant, CIMA, ACCA, FCA with a minimum 3 years PQE.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferable.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office software and financial packages including Excel
  • Experience in a senior Finance management role with P&L and balance sheet accountability
  • Ability to meet strict reporting deadlines and month end commitments.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in both one to one and group environments, with the ability to communicate complex financial data to non-finance employees
  • Experience of people management
  • Commercially strong and cost focused with an ability to identify and shape opportunities and risks, influencing behaviours and decisions which improve business results.
  • Attention to detail, logical, task and process driven.
  • Experience of report writing and delivering presentations
  • Strong analytical skills

Job Offer

Basic salary of up to £50,000 per annum plus package.
