The operations here in Brisbane are close-knit with a small team at the forefront of business operations. As a Company, they fully embrace new ideas and innovations to ensure that they are constantly delivering on the needs of their stakeholders and investors.

This position will offer the right individual a chance to not only be responsible for broad financial accounting work but also the ability to share the broader business planning and daily operations. Further, the role could diversify across two other business interests with a key focus in the start-up space, too. This business-critical position will be hands-on with the day-to-day operations of the finance function, ensuring that financial practices and procedures are adhered to. You will be involved with financial accounting duties including monthly Bank reconciliations, accounts payable processing, completion of Month End processes including balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with managing external service providers including both tax and legal.

In addition, this blended role will see you be involved with annual budget reviews and detailed analysis on business performance, reviewing revenue generation, cost control and review of expenditure, as well as monthly management reports and the review of historical hours. As mentioned, you will work closely with the Head of Finance and Operations to ensure that they are fully briefed with the appropriate financial information to allow them to make critical business decisions that will affect the future direction of the company.

Ideally, you will have exposure to Financial Services in previous roles, or a desire to learn the ropes among a close-knit team, all of whom have vested interests within the Company.

To be considered for this position you will be a fully qualified accountant, with an understanding that to be successful, you are a team player who doesn't mind picking up a few extra tasks to better the daily operations. As mentioned, we value your technical capability but your desire and capability to partner with people and create meaningful, collaborative relationships is just as important.

Your Skills & Experience

• Degree qualified in Commerce, Business, or related field.
• CPA or CA qualified
• At least 4 years' experience, ideally with exposure to Financial Services
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Extraordinary ability to multi-task and attention to detail are critical.
• Strong Business Partner skills
