Reporting to the finance manager this role will be primarily responsible for the financial analysis and reporting of two of the businesses largest projects within Australia. The role will also work closely with project directors and operational managers to ensure accurate recording of all financial commitments and to maintain efficient budgeting and forecasting of the projects. The role will also regular interstate travel of up to 1 week per month to visit the two sites.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Review all costs to date and accrued commitments monthly and endure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist project staff in preparing the rolling forecast and analyse variances with budget.
  • Provide advice and suggestions on how to minimise the impact of forecast cost overruns.
  • Assist to establish and maintain the project budget and cost code structure.
  • Prepare accurate end of month cost reports, in time for project approval and submission to head office management.
  • Develop and maintain close communication with the Finance and Project teams and all key players in other task teams for the best financial outcome for the project.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Strong numerical and accounting knowledge.
  • CA/CPA qualified (preferred but not essential).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to operate successfully both within a team and individually with minimal supervision.
  • Previous experience within constructions/infrastructure projects.
  • Competent in the management and operation of account software packages. Procore knowledge would be an advantage.
