Who you are

brightwheel is seeking a talented finance athlete to support the business as it grows and scales. Using your analytical, problem solving and process management skills, you'll be an integral team member supporting the analysis, reporting, and planning needs for our quickly growing business. You'll perform complex financial analyses and business modeling to guide strong decision–making in a position with meaningful responsibility and interaction with business partners.

What you'll do

* Act as a key cross–functional partner to the business, serving ongoing needs and supporting decision–making on strategic initiatives.
* Partner with finance leadership and our accounting team to deliver ongoing monthly close, reporting, and financial analysis needs.
* Build, maintain and improve ongoing reporting, tracking and analysis of financials and business performance metrics, including management reporting and Board materials.
* Create, own and enhance detailed financial models.
* Assist in structuring and executing the monthly, quarterly and annual financial planning processes.
* Partner closely with Analytics on financial forecasts and analysis, and driving automation where possible.

Skills, qualifications, and experience

* 4+ years work experience in finance, ideally a combination of investment banking, investing (venture capital or private equity), and/or in–house finance experience at a fast–growing technology company; Saas/FinTech experience preferred.
* Ability to effectively partner with the business to drive decision–making and outcomes, enabled by strong analytical, problem–solving and communication skills.
* Excellent financial modeling and analytical toolkit.
* Strong understanding of B2B SaaS performance metrics, GAAP accounting standards, and working knowledge of all financial statements and the relationship between them.
* Ability to effectively own cross–functional projects or processes – including with senior management – with limited guidance.
* Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast–paced team environment.
