Senior Accountant

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Local Finance team and build the local accounting function for our Germany & Luxembourg entities. 

Your Responsibilities

• Managing daily finance admin tasks, management of accounts payables and support on cost controlling topics.
• Support, maintain and improve internal ERP system policies and procedures, assist in the management of all accounting procedures and systems used by the organisation
• Champion our operational processes, including e.g. accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, AP / AR, intercompany reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records and manage month-end closing activities to ensure completeness in accounting entries
• Become the point of contact for queries from internal controllers, external auditors and tax advisors for the two entities
• Prepare monthly/annual financial reports, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns and reports for Government regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with financial, tax and legal requirements, responsibilities and obligations, including statutory obligation for our German & Luxembourg Entities
• Collaborate in various projects especially in the digitization and automation of processes

Requirements

• A minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
• Completed studies as a Steuerfachangestellter/-in, Bilanzbuchhalter/-in or comparable education or bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business, and/or further education in Finance or other relevant accounting certificates
• Advanced MS Excel skills, ideally knowledge of ERPs eg Netsuite
• Good structural skills with a strong problem solving mindset
• A hands-on mentality and solution-driven personality
• The ability to work independently, flexible with a positive attitude
• Fluent language skills in English, German and/or French
