Finance Assistant

Do you have between 1 - 2 years' experience working in an accounting or finance role? Are you studying towards a recognisable accounting qualification (AAT / CIMA / ACCA) and at the early stages? Would you be interested in joining a fast-growing London based private equity firm?

As a result of rapid growth and success across 2020; we are working in partnership to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their impressive finance function based in Piccadilly, London. This newly created role is a fantastic opportunity for a pro-active and hard-working individual looking to become a qualified accountant.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, the position of Finance Assistant will take responsibility of the invoicing, bank reconciliations, basic bookkeeping along with month end support.

Further tasks include:

Daily cash reconciliation

Assist with the preparation of management accounts

Liaising with suppliers regarding payment queries

Assist Financial Controller with Year End audit queries

Assist with the AML / KYC checks

Ad-hoc accounting tasks as and when required Ideal candidates will have a strong academic record with a degree in a numerical field (Economics, Mathematics, Accounting & Finance etc.) or AAT qualified. You'll have a keen eye for detail and be set on building a successful career in accounting and finance, with a passion for numbers. Intermediate MS excel skills along with excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across departments.
