This position is located in the Baltimore - Mt. Washington office. 

Relocation is available in accordance with the firm's policy.

The Accounting team is a collaborative and talented team of finance and accounting professionals who help the firm make business decisions by providing accurate and actionable financial information.

The team ensures the accuracy of the firm’s financial records and provides insight and recommendations on the financial position of the firm to senior leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5 years experience as a Financial Accountant or similar position, preferably in a professional services environment
• Strong  analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles, including cash basis versus accrual basis accounting, partnership versus corporate accounting, and tax issues
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
• Strong experience using Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel

Preferred Requirements:

• Licensed CPA 

What will your day look like?
As a  Senior Accountant / Senior Financial Analyst you will perform research and analysis, prepare account reconciliations, assist with audit requirements, and performs various other accounting duties.  You will assist with special projects as assigned by senior management. 
Duties performed impact all offices in the US as well as Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Brazil. You will be working collaboratively with a talented group of Accounting professionals, including senior leaders of the Accounting department, professionals outside of the Accounting department, including Real Estate Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology, and various others.

You will reconcile general ledger account balances on a monthly basis to ensure completeness and accuracy, analyzes financial information and explain variances, and assists with the interpretation of data. You will assist with the monthly close process, including the preparation of journal entries, prepare year-end audit and tax schedules, and work closely with the external auditors.  You will assist with accounting operations for international entities, as well as assisting with various tax requirements, including sales and use tax filings, personal property tax filings, and other business tax filings.

You will prepare reports for senior management to support business decision-making and, participate in system upgrades and enhancements.
