Description

The key responsibilties for this fully qualified management accountant role based in Carlisle will be as follows:

Reporting to the Industrial Controller, this is a key role within the industrial accounts team. Primary responsibility is to provide information and support, using key metrics for understanding, evaluating and reporting the performance of the company's UK based operations.

• Provide support as required to the finance team
• Supporting the team through provision of relevant management information
• Participation and supporting with the Annual budget preparation, monitoring, analysis / reporting on variances
• Assist the team with preparation of 3 / 5 year Strategic Plans
• Production / management of industrial monthly flash / provisional result / variance analysis
• Production of monthly forecasts / variance analysis
• Assisting with preparation of monthly industrial reports for submission to local / sector management
• Assist in the provision and preparation of industrial financials at monthly meetings with the European Management Team
• Reconciliation of industrial reporting to SAP financial ledger
• Ad-hoc: cost / benefit analysis, what-if scenarios, capital investment appraisal, project work, cost reduction etc.

Profile

The successful candidate for this brilliant, fully qualified manufacturing management accountant role will be:

Education

• Fully Qualified Accountant ACCA, ACA or CIMA - no qualified by experience or studiers will be accepted by the client

Experience

• Relevant accounting experience within a large manufacturing environment
• High degree of business awareness and knowledge of manufacturing

Skills

• Knowledge of production accounting, standard costing and variance analysis
• A high proficiency in Excel is essential. Experience of SAP is desirable
