The Role
The continued growth of the company and integration into the KION Group AG has resulted in an opportunity to hire a financial accountant into the local finance team. This is a new role joining a team of four people and working with colleagues in the UK and internationally.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for a variety of reporting, controls, and hands on accounting. They will also support the finance manager with the preparation of statutory accounts, internal / external audit requirements, process improvement and other ad hoc tasks and projects.
Financial Accounting including
Monitoring of Controls
Preparation of Statutory accounts and liaison with Auditors
Compliance Representative for the entity
Responsible for Company Insurance renewals process and key point of contact
Support on other ad hoc technical accounting projects and tasks as required

Financial Accounting including
- Lease Accounting IFRS 16
- Group Reporting
- FX Hedge Accounting IFRS9
- Ongoing compliance with IFRS especially IFRS 15
Monitoring of Controls
- Ownership of Balance Sheet Control and Reconciliation Process
- Performance of the KION Centre of Excellence including Accounts Receivable, Payable and Payment processing
- Support of group annual controls self-certification process
- Co-ordination of internal audit follow ups
Preparation of Statutory accounts and liaison with Auditors
- Drafting from trial balance
- Co-ordination of local audit testing
- Support group quarterly audit testing and reviews
Compliance Representative for the entity
Responsible for Company Insurance renewals process and key point of contact
Support on other ad hoc technical accounting projects and tasks as required
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified accountant with at least 2 years post qualification experience
- University graduate or equivalent qualification
- Good technical understanding of IFRS and Financial Accounting
- Proficient in MS Excel and Powerpoint
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience of FX Hedging and Hedge accounting an advantage
- Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
