My client is a rapidly growing healthcare communications, marketing and PR business. They are currently looking to hire an Junior Management Accountant from marketing/PR to be involved with the weekly & monthly management reporting across a portfolio of clients.

Junior Management Accountant

The Junior Management Accountant will be responsible for:

• Responsible for completing Month end responsibilities with no material errors within reporting deadline

• Support the Senior Finance Manager /Financial Controller in updating financial forecasts

• To support with developing, evolving and bringing consistency to weekly & monthly management reporting across your portfolio and the wider finance community

• To act as a key contact to the business and provide value add decision support and insight

• Build strong relationships with business unit leads

• Revenue control throughout your Portfolio

• Responsibility for 2 to 3 business units (depending on experience)

• Responsibility for working capital management

• Cost management

• Balance sheet ownership

• Maintenance of revenue trackers including FX calculations, reconciliations to Data Valley (financial system) and code closures

• Various ad hoc activities

• Support the senior finance team through the external audit process

• Monthly and weekly reporting - utilisation, working capital, timesheets and revenue

• Provide support as required to the senior finance team

• Ability to work effectively in a virtual work environment

Profile

The successful Junior Management Accountant:

• Must have previously worked in the Marketing/PR sector

• Actively studying ACA, ACCA, CIMA - (study package to support)

• Intermediate knowledge of Excel

• Experience of working in a business partnering role

• Strong financial modelling skills in Excel

• Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities with ability to work in a multi-currency environment

• Competence in preparing management accounts including journal processing

• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work at all levels in the organisation (from the least experienced to senior management)

Job Offer

The successful candidate will be paid £28,000 - £32,000 per annum as well as additional benefits:
