The Financial Controller is part of the Finance Department and works according to company policies, SOPs and regulatory requirements. As part of the Roadmap, we decide to recruit a new team member in our Barcelona office. This position is responsible of the financial matters (financial statements and statutory requirements) for Nordic countries (Sweden, Denmark, Norway as well as Finland). You will have support from both internal and external team but it is your responsibility to ensure compliance with TFS Group's standards as well as local legislation. You ensure proper and up-to-date internal controls, processes, practices and systems are in place.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
  • The TFS Group's closing process (monthly, quarterly and year-end closings in MS Dynamics AX 2012) as well as period close in the ERP system.
  • The TFS Group's reporting process (AARO reporting)
  • Post the journals received from HR department related to payroll, vacation and pension as well as Reconcile with the payments or the declarations.
  • Make sure the tax reporting is reconciled with the statutory accounts.
  • IFRS accounting for the right-to-used assets within IFRS-16 scope.
  • Supervise the accounting principles and standards for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams (Fixed assets, Prepaid accounts, accruals etc and manage the period open/close activity to support the team)
  • Communicates the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements upon inquiries from Group Controller and Business Controller.
  • Update the bridge of the local GAAP as well as IFRS standard
  • Coordinate the annual audit activities to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
  • Work with the external Tax consultancy firm to ensure required documents to be provided on a timely manner as well as ensure CIT return and Financial Statements filing.
  • Support corporate legal matters, like company and shareholder books.

Position Requirements:
  • University's degree in Economics or Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar positions within finance and accounting departments. More than 5 years is a strong merit.
  • Good Excel skill and it is a key to manage the TFS Group closing activities.
  • Good knowledge of ERP and Microsoft Office applications
  • Any system reporting experience.
  • High command of English language, in both oral and written form, other Nordic language and Spanish is a strong merit.
  • Good organization and communication skills.
  • High-level initiative and ability to adapt to changes is a merit.
  • The position will be based in Barcelona.
