We are looking for a driven,experienced and hands-onAccounting Manager to join our growing teamin Breda, NL on a permanent basis.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Financial Controller Manager, you will beresponsibileto manage a team of 4+employees and takecharge of daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties.In this role you'll:

  • Lead the month-end and quarter-end close processes for the International Region
  • Deliver timely results of month-ends to HQ as well as requested working papers
  • Participate in balance sheet reviews with Controller; ensure proper analysis and justification of balance sheet accounts for legal entities within the International Region
  • Coach and develop team members
  • Initiate process improvements and efficiencies; document accounting processes
  • Ensure all SOX requirements for the International region are met for department
  • Work with Financial Operations to ensure subledgers close and deal with any arising issues
  • Lead change and optimize internal processes by introducing and measuring KPI's

Here's what you bring:
  • Bachelor orMaster degree in Business Economics, Accountancy or Finance
  • 5 to 10 year's experience in a similar role
  • Experience in leading teams in a multicultural, internationalenvironment;
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Can-do, hands-on, role-up-your-sleeves attitude, self-starting and solution finding approach
  • Challenges the status quo and drives improvements to processes, controls andsystems
  • Have collaborative and communicative personality and teamwork approach
  • US GAAP and Oracle Finance knowledge would be an asset
  • Fluency in English is a must
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is highly desirable
