The role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a fast-paced corporate accounting team within a complex hedge fund environment. We require a grounded, articulate qualified accountant with energy and enthusiasm who is willing to roll up their sleeves and contribute to the success of the team. This role is a key hire and will report to the Group's Financial Controllers, whilst having day-to-day interaction with the Tax and Finance Directors.

Requirements

  • Establish best-in-class controls and processes for the global corporate accounting function.
  • Perform month end close for a number of group entities to include cash reconciliations and journal postings, payroll entries and agreeing intercompany balances.
  • Prepare Caxton entity reporting packs and supporting schedules.
  • Liaise with audit teams and oversee their fieldwork.
  • Produce regulatory and tax schedules for various jurisdictions e.g. VAT, P11D, TVA, MAS, Sales & Use.
  • Manage the invoice payment process for all global entities.
  • Manage the cashflow and FX requirements of management company entities.
  • Budgeting and FP&A projects.
  • Update ICAAP for UK entity.
  • System implementation e.g. banking platform

Experience Required
  • ACA qualified accountant with an audit background
  • Financial Services experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and working with large data sets.
  • Self-starter and takes initiative.
  • Diligent, organised, strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships and to interface well with other departments e.g. treasury, tax, HR, compliance.
  • A team player with a professional approach and a keen desire to learn.
