Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring high quality of day-to-day business deliveries in Fund Accounting and Reconciliation,
    considering relevant client agreements and regulatory requirements
  • Continuous improvement of operating model with regards to market, product innovations and enhancements in legal environment
  • Active control of existing Sourcing Model within the group and with external partners
  • Management and Leadership responsibility for Team approximately 20 employees in fund accounting, including allocation of capacity and people management, e.g. staff development, coaching of individuals, performance reviews
  • Member of Management Team of German Depotbank (Verwahrstelle),
    with direct reporting line to Head of Trustee and Depositary (Verwahrstelle) in Germany
  • Close cooperation with international departments, colleagues in European business line of product and active participation in core projects (local and cross-regional)
  • Continuous and pro-active development of existing client relationships (Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaften/ KVGs and Investors) in alignment and interaction with Client Executives, including client meetings and service reviews
  • Cooperative collaboration with internal departments such as Client Service, Relationship Management, Business Development, Legal, Risk, Compliance


Qualifications

Qualification:

  • Apprenticeship in Banking or Business with certificate or University Degree
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience, with proven track record
  • 5-7 years of experience in a Depositary Bank (Verwahrstelle), Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft in Fund Accounting, Reconciliation or similar experience with an Audit company
  • Sound knowledge in German and European Investment Law, i.e. KAGB, AIFMD, UCITS and the BaFin Circulars
  • Strong analytical approach and structured mind
  • Team orientation, incl. direct, open and binding communication
  • Due to international projects and joined initiatives within BNY Mellon fluent English necessary
