ROLE & MISSION

Sanofi Global Quality Audit (GQA) reports to the Chief Quality Officer. Its mission is to provide to the Senior Management an accurate, independent assessment of the compliance to the Sanofi Quality Management System through regular surveillance audits of the Operational Units, Sites (R&D, Manufacturing and Distribution), Country Offices, Global Functions and key third parties including diligence assessments. Global Quality Audit also supports regulatory inspection readiness

The Data Science GxP auditor reports to the Head of Inspection readiness/PMG (Pre-approval inspection Management Group) within GQA. He/she works in close collaboration with auditors.

The Data Science GxP auditor will primarily ensure the effective and timely delivery of standard Data Analytics services to GQA auditors through
  • Data extraction from Sanofi source applications (SAP platforms)
  • Data processing by running developed scripts
  • Formatting of results according to the needs
  • He/she continuously analyses the gaps between expected and obtained results to improve the quality of DA Services delivered to end users. He/she accordingly proposes and manages a DA Service Quality report through relevant indicators including satisfaction survey from users
  • He/she will also develop and implement new standard solutions relying on new standard tools developed at Sanofi level or standardizing solutions developed by the Data Analysts. He/She will rely on his/her management to prioritize data analytics needs
  • In addition, he/she participates in setting up and delivering training or knowledge transfer to the auditors regarding DA matters to foster autonomy in the approach of DA by auditors


KEY OBJECTIVES

The key objectives for the Data Science GxP auditor position are
  • Operate and maintain Data Analytics environment implemented for SIA and IC&P
  • Contribute to identify GQA processes to be candidate for automation and initiate pilots
  • Provide GQA auditors and management with requested data analysis
  • Contribute to update existing scripts or develop new ones as appropriate
  • Foster the autonomy of auditors through adapted trainings


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide Data Analytics services
  • Extract data from source applications, to the DA environment implemented, according to the scope identified with auditors and/or management
  • Run the data analysis and refine/enhance it with the audit teams notably to reduce false positives
  • Improve data visualization and data analysis capabilities


Improve Data Analytics services
  • Contribute to the design and roll-out of the Data Analytics strategy for GQA
  • Gather feedback from audit teams regarding data analysis usage
  • Analyse feedbacks and identify improvements
  • Suggest evolutions/enhancements for the overall data analytics process and solution
  • Leverage those reports with the Internal Control community

Transversal activities
  • Share knowledge and experience from GQA with the DA experts from SIA
  • Propose and develop means and trainings to grow the autonomy of auditors to perform data analysis
  • Support understanding of data semantics (matching "business language" with "technical field names")


REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES

Education/Work experience
  • Higher Education: Bachelor of Science at a minimum
  • Minimum 4-year experience required
  • Data analytics experience is required, ideally in an audit environment
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server, including ETL processes, and Visualization software (e.g. Qliksense, Tableau, PowerBI) is mandatory
  • Knowledge of SSIS (SQL requests) and SAP (data structure, tables, fields and process) is mandatory
  • Knowledge in Python is a plus
  • Knowledge in Excel/Access (Macros) and Alteryx certification is a plus
