Financial Controller | Real Estate Investment

This is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Manager or Financial Controller to join an established and growing real estate investment organisation based in Brisbane CBD on a 12 month maternity leave contract.

About the Financial Controller position:

As Financial Controller, you will have full oversight of the finance function, be responsible for financial and management reporting, and help drive performance across the portfolio of assets in the group.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management reporting for senior leadership team
• Half yearly financial reporting
• Review of debt facilities and treasury management, including covenant maintenance
• Preparation of annual corporate budget and quarterly board papers
• Prepare investment reports for investors
• Management of finance team and workload management
• Review of finance team's work prior to submission

Key selection criteria:

• At least 5+ years experience in a senior finance role with management experience
• Experience working within a commercial real estate environment
• Knowledge of trust and/or property accounting and relevant standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
