Support the General Manager and Hotel Managers in producing monthly accounts, meeting all deadlines and adhering to all policy and procedures.

Client Details

Leading Hotel Chain, with luxury Hotels located across the globe. Working with key stakeholders, this exciting finance opportunity will manage 2 luxury sites, based 1 hour apart. This position will focus on finance business partnering and providing continuous commercial strategic advice.


  • Use financial analysis, data trends and market information to anticipate needs, identify operational & financial issues and provide recommendations to maximise financial return
  • Create annual operating budget for the property and provide analytical support during budget reviews to identify revenue opportunities, cost saving and productivity opportunities
  • Assist ongoing senior stakeholders by assessing risk and opportunities to improve key financial targets
  • Prepare monthly results against budget, forecast, analysing results and recommend measures required to meet budget
  • Responsible for overall team and engagement
  • Analyse ROI for capital projects prior to committing funds
  • Implement payroll productivity controls
  • Ensure finance team maintain ongoing relationships with wider team to achieve daily and monthly accounting timelines
  • Assist with external and statutory Auditors
  • Re-design and implement new processes and systems
  • Solve complex problems impacting multiple departments
  • Identify a range of opportunities and take specific action to improve performance results and contribute to the executive's functional strategy and operational direction department


  • Fully Qualified - ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Finance experience in a similar Finance Business Partnering position
  • Demonstrated knowledge of finance, budgeting, and accounting processes and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and understand a variety of internal and external economic and financial issues which impact the business, to analyse data and forecast future business trends, and to develop effective financial plans based on businesses assessments

  • Experience in the hotel / hospitality industry would be preferable
  • Managing direct relationships with Head Office, Regional Office and Offshore Accounting function
  • Takes ownership for leading through change and adapts plans to take account of changing situations
  • People management, to engage, motivate and develop others
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written to address all levels within the organization
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, Opera/Micros; Procure Wizard; ADP or similar financial software for the purpose of financial reporting, analysis and presentation
  • Demonstrated ability to scope a project and develop a plan of action, ability to influence others, present convincing arguments and deal with conflicting viewpoints
  • Cardiff based with travel to 1 other hotel
