Your field of responsibility

Join us as a Vice President in Accounting Policy and Assurance Group within Group Finance. Your responsibilities include the preparation and communication of CS accounting guidance for use in Quality Assurance Reviews. You will work closely with the Financial and Management Accounting and Reporting team providing accounting guidance on a variety of topics. You will also liaise with and support various partners in Accounting Policy and Assurance Group in preparation of Quality Assurance Review material and support new policy implementation and policy development projects.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for 

  • Chartered Accountant with work experience in a similar position within the banking industry or a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Detailed knowledge of US GAAP and / or IFRS with genuine enthusiasm and ability for researching and solving technical accounting issues and queries is essential. In addition, experience in US GAAP/ IFRS financial reporting and SEC reporting would be a plus
  • A proficient understanding of banking products from wealth management, asset management and investment banking business
  • Able to take complex accounting concepts and explain them in everyday language as well as build positive relationships with internal clients in different locations to understand and address their needs.
  • Outstanding problem solving skills. Ability to identify, understand and research complex issues/risks.
  • Project leadership skills with ability and experience of driving projects, delivering end to end.
