Job Description
- To support monitoring, governing and tracking of financial/ expenses/ headcount / Strategic cost management performance across SG IBGO.
- To perform variance analysis and analyze actuals by correlating with key drivers, identify insights/ trends and recommend actions, quantifying risks and opportunities
- To provide support for data/analysis/reports/decks required for departmental reviews
- To leverage on data at granular level (e.g at initiative level, at expense level) to derive forecast at monthly to quarterly to end of year view for financials, head count
- To support ad-hoc requests from stakeholders and management which will involve slice & dice of data to present a breakdown (e.g. extraction of past year views, repivot of current year data)
- To support annual budgeting cycle for SG IBGO
- To provide support for Strategic Cost Management analysis and reporting
- To cross synergise the analysis relating to headcount breakdown
- To support ongoing tracking and monitoring of people role transformation, and support any thematic financials, HC related initiatives to achieve business objectives
- To look at continuous improvements in the day to day work, to automate structured data analysis for better efficiency and accuracy
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance (CA/CPA qualification is highly desirable) with relevant banking experience
- Effective problem solver, with excellent quantitative techniques and effective communication/ interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of SQL, Hyperion, Qlikview (not mandatory but would be advantageous).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with data cleansing, shaping and analysis in Excel or other tools
- Team player with enthusiasm, initiative and resilience
- High attention to detail
- Ability to challenge the status quo and improve existing processes
