Assistant Accountant Leicester £22,000 - £26,000 (+ Study support)
SF Recruitment are currently seeking a permanent Accounts Assistant to join a well-established, innovative and growing business based in Leicester. The suitable individual will report directly to the Financial Controller and become part of a fast paced, dynamic and friendly team. Our client is looking for an individual with experience and can provide study support. This an excellent opportunity for in individual seeking a role with real scope and an exciting long term career plan. The position will initially be based remotely with all equipment provided but you will be expected to return to the office in the coming weeks.
Duties of the Assistant Accountant include:
- Completing and overseeing Accounts Payable & Receivable tasks along with maintenance of Ledgers - Daily bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts in multiple currencies. - Detailed bank receipt reconciliations in Excel using remittance reports - Preparation of weekly payment runs - Finding and correcting errors - Assisting with cash flow forecasting - Preparing sales and intrastat data for the foreign VAT accountants. - Driving and supporting continuous improvement of the role and wider team processes - Month end journals - P&L analysis - Assist with the preparation of year-end files for the external auditors.
The ideal candidate will be AAT or ACCA/CIMA Part qualified with plans to continue studying and wanting a progressive career. The suitable individual will be a competent excel user & experience of SAP would be advantageous but not essential.
