Finance Business Partner required for leading Surrey based Charity
ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant with 5+ years PQE
Client Details
A highly respected and well-known Surrey based Charity are looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis.
Description
- To prepare accurate and timely Management Accounts to reporting deadlines
- To build and maintain robust models for monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting and Management Information
- To plan, prepare and deliver Forecasts and Budgets for 50 - 60 Cost Centres as part of the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle
- To produce ad hoc data analysis for management purposes including investment appraisal and pricing proposals;
- Support the Head of Finance with financial analysis to support key decision-making and support of strategic initiatives.
- Support the Operations Division with Financial Models and monitor KPI's.
- Support the preparation of Statutory Accounts and other regulatory returns together with the Finance Manager.
- To maintain and ensure the accuracy of the accounting systems.
- To manage the reporting of restricted funding
- To play a key role in Finance systems restructure
- To document and improve processes
- Manage, Support and Supervise the Assistant Management Accountant.
- To strive to produce high quality outputs and interactions both for the people we support and the wider organisation.
- Responsible for the preparation of reliable and timely monthly Management Accounts and review with appropriate analysis and commentary for all services and central office, including consolidated cash flow and balance sheet, having reallocated overhead costs as necessary and investigated material variances.
- Assist with statutory returns and reporting to external funders
- Update and reconcile key balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Responsible for the generation, and maintenance of cost control spreadsheets, such as KPI, agency costs, and local variance reports.
- Support the preparation of Fee and Costing models ensuring full cost recovery while maintaining quality of operational service.
- Maintain asset register and data in the finance system and reconcile with schedules.
- Prepare budget data for service or department managers to review. Participate in budget meetings with Regional Heads and managers as required. Consolidate and reconcile budget and forecast data.
- Maintain sundry spreadsheet analyses, particularly (but not limited to) legacies, interest and other income.
- Month and year end rollover of financial systems
- Provide cover for the Finance Manager and support for the Head of Finance
Profile
- Experience in Care sector preferable
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA minimum of 5 years post qualified experience, 2 years at this level
- Experience in implementing financial systems
- Experience in development of reporting using Reporting & BI Software - Jet desirable or similar
- Experience in the provision of reports and analysis in a multi company / multi cost centre environment
- Experience of charity sector accounting including restricted funding
- Experience of Financial Modelling
- Experience in Business Partnering
