Group Billing and Credit Manager

Client Details

Our client is a large c. £300 million turnover national business, which is experiencing significant growth through acquisition. The Group Billing and Credit Manager will be based from the head office in Nottingham (outside of the city centre).

Description

The Group Billing and Credit Manager will responsible for the Group's billing and credit control function. You will have c. 30 reports (4 of which are direct and the rest are indirect), and your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Leading and managing a team of 4 Billing and Credit Managers, who are responsible for their own teams
• Business partnering Heads of Operations to achieve best practices for billing and credit control
• Managing the invoicing processes and ensuring invoices are accurately produced
• Monitoring daily cash collection targets
• Developing new processes to improve cash collection and billing
• Improving the management of debtors through visiting and negotiating with customers
• Advising of requirements to provide or write-off debt where necessary
• Acting as a point of escalation for complex queries and complaints
• Optimising working capital by maintaining a DSO in line with agreed objectives, and updating key stakeholders on issues such as overdue and potential bad debt
• Implement regular reporting to operational managers

Profile

To be considered for this position, you must:

• Have a proven track record of working in billing and credit control
• Have experience of managing teams
• Be a strong leader and have the ability to manage managers
• Have experience of dealing with large ledgers and a high volume of invoices
