Excellent opportunity for a financially minded and experienced Project Manager to join the team!
We have an exciting opportunity to join an established project team in the Finance department, responsible for project managing Finance projects and leading a project analyst to successfully ensure project deliverables are met to deadline and agreed scope.
The projects are at the forefront of business change, often providing solutions to reporting, reconciliation and ensuring processes are sustainable, meet regulatory audit review as well as providing additional benefits of efficiency.
This individual will ensure project elements are prioritised, risk assessing each requirement and considering wider dependencies and project impediments. Alongside the project analyst the Finance Manager will ensure processes, rules and procedures are documented and the highest level of communication is maintained across the Projects, Finance teams and Systems teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships within the project team, Finance and systems teams and the wider businessSupport the other Finance Project Managers, demonstrating cross team support, intuition and self sufficiencyPresent work and communicate to Senior Managers within Finance and the wider business demonstrating influence and support for project resolutionsWork to tight deadlines ensuring escalation of queries at the appropriate and timely manner to Senior ManagementWork with Finance teams to explore system solutions alongside long term sustainability, ease to develop and deadline for completion, reducing manual intervention where possibleEnsure procedures are documented, scope defined and rigour applied to the teams/ Project Analyst completed workAppropriately assess the performance and schedule risk when preparing scope documents and undertaking testingEnsure relevant and appropriate testing of solutions and test cases are approved and documented
Criteria
Required- Excel user, and, Powerpoint or Google Presentation
- Clear communication and presentation skills
- Perform basic testing procedures and feedback on any issues identified
- Writing up project feature documents for systems, processing feedback and managing any iterations thereof
- Chasing of outstanding actions to keep project on track and update thereof
- Able to write up basic process flows
- Updating of project tracking and plans alongside Finance and Systems Project Managers
- Ability to work to deadlines and escalate issues to Senior management promptly
- Management of a Project Analyst
