Do you have Advanced SQL and Excel skills? Join us in this fantastic new opportunity as a Credit and Risk Analyst within our Finance team!

We are looking for an experienced Analyst who can use SQL and Excel to an advanced level within our Credit and Risk team.

We are looking for someone to: 

  • Project manage new Credit & Risk initiatives to ensure they are delivered on time and fit for purpose.
  • Lead commercial analysis of new Directory Credit initiatives.
  • complete complex analysis and identify risks and opportunities in current processes and rules for credit decisioning.
  • Be able to design and produce reporting as required and comment on trends, adding value through contributing ideas and solutions to any problems identified.
  • Be able to represent Credit & Risk at internal and external meetings where required.

Key Responsibilities 

Project Management (35%) 

  • Liaise with senior Directory management and C&R Third Parties e.g. Equifax, Experian, etc.
  • Work closely with systems, marketing and operations teams to provide commercial benefit to the Credit business through projects delivered to agreed timeframes.
  • Work with systems teams and affected business areas to help plan testing of new initiatives. Ensure appropriate reporting is included within project developments.
  • Be able to influence senior management through verbal and written communication.

Analytics (35%) 

  • Conduct complex analysis to identify risks and opportunities in the current processes and rules.
  • Produce segmental analysis to identify changes to customer behaviour and highlight trends in data.
  • Design and extract appropriate large samples of data for third party projects e.g. scorecard redevelopments.
  • Ensure accuracy (completeness / errors and omissions) of primary data sources and databases.

Reporting (20%) 

  • Review reporting and KPIs and be able to identify and understand key trends in the data, presenting reports and results to senior management.
  • Produce relevant reports and ad-hoc reporting on the performance of new software tools / trials being reviewed by the business in the Credit & Risk area.

Ad Hoc Reporting (10%) 

  • Ensure the service provided to internal and external customers is maintained and efficient.
  • Key customers include; Directory Operations, Marketing, Directory Systems, Finance Managers, Credit Reference Agencies and Business Systems

General: 

  • Plan daily workload, ensuring maximum efficiency.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks and responsibilities when required.
  • Work at an appropriate pace / maintain accuracy when under pressure.
  • Highlight to manager any issues / concerns.
  • Take responsibility for managing tasks to a satisfactory outcome.
  • Become familiar with appropriate regulation and to keep abreast of industry developments.
