Commercial Accountant (Banbridge)
Reed Finance is partnered with a hugely successful commercial group in County Down, in the appointment of a qualified & experienced Accountant.
This is a key role in the provision of management and financial information Group and the successful applicant will work closely with the finance manager and other members of the finance team in the delivery of a varied portfolio of work.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Criteria:
Applicants should be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent) but part qualified may also be considered with extensive experience.
You will offer a minimum of two years relevant recent experience (with construction sector exposure being highly desirable).
Strong IT / System skills are essential with a particular focus on Advanced Excel functionality.

- Monthly management accounts preparation including full reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts
- Monitoring and reporting on job performance
- Business Partnering with Department managers
- Departmental reviews to include Risk and Opportunity Reporting and Budget reviews
- Budget administration & reporting
- Responsible for daily bank administration including bank reconciliations, weekly and monthly payment processing, and cash flow forecasting
- Administration of IR35 / VAT / CIS including returns
- Financial Accounting activity including journal entries, Profit and Loss Account reconciliations, financial analysis, and Audit preparation
- Responsible for Sales invoice processing, cash collection and liaising with Clients
- Assisting with grant submissions and responsible for grant claims
- Develop and recommend / implement process improvements
- Preparation of government statistical returns
- Development of company processes (specifically using MS Excel)
