Company Accountant role based in South Auckland

Your new company
A family orientated company who have over achieved their mission to supply first class quality household products to the Australian and New Zealand market are now on the lookout for their next superstar Accountant. From decades in the business, they have proven to balance both a high performing team of employees whilst keeping true to their roots and putting the end user consumer first at all costs. This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis (40 hours per week Monday to Friday).


Your new role
Reporting to the Group CFO, you will be sole charge responsible for the New Zealand accounting function to ensure all financial management and operational systems and processes, including statutory compliance systems are accurate and up-to-date. The Company Accountant will direct payroll activities, create financial reports and analysis, manage tax compliance, get involved with accounts receivable functions and supervise accounts payable. Furthermore, you will play an active role within continuous improvement by making recommendations and business partnering with all internal departments including Purchasing, Sales, Logistics, Production and Warehousing.


What you'll need to succeed
A CA/CPA or equivalent membership is desirable, however it's more important to this business that you are a hands-on Accountant so they will consider those who are qualified by years of experience. You will have a sound working knowledge of accounting concepts and product costing within the manufacturing industry. Also, working knowledge of a complex ERP system alongside excellent communication and business partnering skills are essential to success.
