Transferable skills: Engineer or Accountant - Insurance Claims

Are you an Engineer or Accountant within a Petrochemical, Energy or Power facility? Are you looking for a new opportunity where you can utilise your existing skills but develop yourself further? We area helping the world's largest Insurance Broker to find an industry Engineer or Accountant to join them. Our client will offer you training and development to build upon your existing sector expertise in order to apply it to the insurance sector. As part of our client's Claims Solutions Team you will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of claims on behalf of their clients within the Energy and Power sector. Given the broad multifaceted nature of insurance claims this role could be suitable for either an Engineer who has a thorough understanding of the equipment and infrastructure involved who can apply that knowledge to material losses; or an industry Accountant who understands the economics of a facility and the associated costs of Business Interruption. The Energy & Power Team deals with claims for facilities within Energy, Petrochemical and Power Generation (traditional, renewable, hydro, solar etc). Engineers or Accountants from any of these facility types will be considered. UK and international travel to client locations is required to gather information for claims preparation, typically you can expect to be away for 1 week every other month.
