A growing chartered accountancy practice is searching for a Bookkeeping/Accounts/Tax - Assistant Accountant to join their successful team in Taunton. You will undertake a mixed role across bookkeeping, management accounts, vat returns, alongside wider service provision assisting on year end accounts and tax. You will carve a key role here, with study suppor and progression on offer within a growing team and firm.

Joining the firm as a Bookkeeping/Accounts/Tax - Assistant Accountant based from their Taunton offices, you will carve a key, hands on role here working with a wide spectrum of sole trader, partnerships and limited company clients across varying industries and turnovers undertaking the following responsibilities:

Bookkeeping, VAT and Management Account service provision as the main focus, whilst also having opportunity to assist on wider year end accounts preparation, personal tax returns and other responsibilities. You will work closely with managers, with support and development on offer within this role as you progress and increase your level of responsibility, within this highly regarded firm of chartered accountants.

Profile

You may be AAT studying at level 3 or 4, or hold an AAT qualification for instance, but if supported by a relevant career history and technical skill set, a strong, relevant, experienced background only, is equally of interest. As a key requirement you will have anything from two years, or significantly more experience specifically developed within an accountancy practice firm environment, with demonstrable experience of delivering bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts services. Wider experience of year end accounts and tax return preparation would be beneficial. Full time, as well as part time working arrangements can be explored with the right candidate.

Job Offer

Circa £18000 - £24,000 dependent on the background experience and level of the right professional, plus benefits, negotiable.
